Traditional Procession in honour of the Divine Mercy.

"Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with fullest confidence, that we may receive Mercy for our failures and grace to help in the hour of need." Heb 4:16

Start: Thursday 8th April 2010: 6am Holy Mass (Extraordinary Form) at St Michael the Archangel Cathedral, Wagga Wagga. Blessing of Pilgrims by Bishop Gerard Hanna. Breakfast, courtesy of his Lordship Bishop Gerard Hanna.

Concludes: Sunday 11th of April 2010: Feast of Divine Mercy. This year there will be two Masses offered on the Feast of Divine Mercy. The first will start at 9.00am in the Extraordinary Form and the second at 12.30 in the Ordinary Form celebrated by the Diocesan Bishop - Gerard Hanna. After lunch the Eucharistic Procession to the Cross will take place, followed by the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Benediction at around 3pm.

Chaplain and Holy Mass: Fr. Joseph Michael Mary FFI (Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate, Perth) There will be daily morning Holy Mass (Extraordinary Form). There will be daily spiritual talks given by the priest’s on the pilgrimage. There will also be the opportunity for Confessions during the whole pilgrimage.

Accommodation: Wednesday 7th April 2010: Accommodation will be provided on the Cathedral grounds. Please supply your own tents and sleeping equipment for the Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.Food: Three meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) will be provided. Please bring extra snacks to supplement in between these meals. On Divine Mercy Sunday there will be two meals only: breakfast and lunch.

What to bring: All things have to start somewhere. Since this is the first pilgrimage, please note that provisions will be basic. Please provide any items and food you may need. Please supply suitable clothing for variable weather; warm clothing, a hat, sunscreen, first aid, a torch for night time and good walking shoes. Please supply water bottle, tea towel, cutlery & utensils for eating & drinking. A bus will accompany us along the way, to carry all baggage & equipment. Toilet facilities will be provided. There will be shower facilities on the pilgrimage, the showers will only have cold water in use.

In a spirit of joyous celebration in the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, let us proceed, uniting our love and prayers to Our Lady of Mercy, that her Son may be moved to Divine Mercy upon our souls, our country and the whole world. In a spirit of love, adoration and thanksgiving let us proceed to honour the Incomprehensible & Unfathomable Mercy of GOD towards mankind.Can you help: If you can assist us in any way with practical provisions, please contact us.
